No-one could have guessed that the iT would turn into this famous hedonistic nightclub, a magnet for the extravagantly gays, not even it’s flamboyant host Manfred Langer. When we first presented our designs for the interior he dismissed most of them because they were to shocking and to gay for his taste and chose one of our more neutral designs for the styling of the interior of the club. In retrospective it’s easy to say that our more “shocking” designs would have fitted the exuberant gay madness much better when the whole iT craze broke loose a few months later. Still happy to have been a part of this important piece of Amsterdam gay history.
