This stainless steel sculpture for the central square of the small village of Stompetoren is inspired by the water lily’s which you can find everywhere in the brooks and ditches in this part of the Netherlands.
The way the leaves of lily’s overlap and intertwine are symbolic for the way people in small communities connect with each other.
